Holistic Skateshop wanted to create a design that embodied their core values – a love for skateboarding, a strong sense of community, and welcoming vibes for all. The challenge was to develop a design that transcended a simple t-shirt graphic and became a conversation starter.
Drawing inspiration from vintage postcards, the project centered around a vibrant illustration with the simple yet powerful message: "Greetings from Holistic." This playful design captured the essence of Holistic as a welcoming destination for skaters of all levels. Though the centerpiece of the project, and where it really came alive, it wasn't limited to just t-shirts. The "Greetings from Holistic" design was adapted for various mediums, ensuring maximum reach and engagement. Eye-catching stickers featuring the design were created, perfect for adorning skateboards, water bottles, and anything you want to customize. Engaging social media graphics were developed, sharing graphics from the project as teasers for their upcoming launch. And staying true to the postcard inspiration, physical postcards featuring the illustration were created. These tangible pieces offered a unique way for Holistic to connect with customers and say thank you to the community.

Multiple colorways were created for this screenprint design, allowing customers to choose a colorway that best reflected them.
Postcards (below) were also created in honor of the retro design style and as a handout to be paired with each shirt sale.
Secondary marks (seen below) are one of my favorite parts of illustration projects. The type and wheel design that were created for this project were especially fun to create as I got to work on a project close to the heart with my love of longboarding and skate culture.
Social media posts were also created to promote Holistic's new line of merch, allowing them to build hype around the launch through Instagram posts and stories.
